SciGirls Educator Training Hosted by STEMchicks

On Saturday, STEMchicks hosted a SciGirls Educator Training at Apopka Memorial Middle School.  Attendees received SciGirls DVDs, activity guides, and TONS of tips on how to engage girls in STEM.  Special thanks to our trainer, Gina from Mote Marine Laboratory & Museum!

STEMchicks, Inc., was recently selected as a SciGirls CONNECT partner.  As a part of this partnership, STEMchicks hosted a full day SciGirls educator training workshop on February 7, 2015 and will utilize SciGirls curriculum for future programs and public outreach.  SciGirls is a PBS Kids show from Twin Cities Public Television, website and outreach program with a bold goal to change how millions of girls think about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
